HIRING: Associate Producer

Current is seeking an associate producer (project manager) who dreams in emerging tech, thrives in a fast-paced environment and can spin multiple plates at the same time. Did you build and present your projects in ways no one else even dreamed of? Then this job is for you!

You will work under some of the most knowledgable digital, experiential and content producers in the country. You will cut your teeth on projects that your professors can’t even comprehend. This is an entry position -- but--- you will juggle working on many projects at once.

You likely will be asked at some point to fly to New York tomorrow.

You will be client-facing.

You will remain cool under pressure but you will have the satisfaction of building projects that are truly beautiful and extraordinary and impossible as of last week. To do this, you must be able to work effectively and collaboratively to meet project requirements in a deadline driven environment. A balanced understanding of usability, interaction, and visual design is essential.

This position is located at our Halifax, Nova Scotia office.

Completed degree from university or college program with a focus on marketing or production.

Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk

Current Studios is  looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to work within the Accounting team to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments.

The Bookkeeper will work closely with the VP Finance to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate holds a Finance degree and is familiar with accounting software packages, like Sage and Quickbooks.

Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.


  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process

  • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger

  • Bring the books to the trial balance stage

  • Perform partial checks of the posting process

  • Enter data, maintain records and financial statements

  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner

  • Manage Payroll

  • Manage employee Expense Reports

  • Process accounts payable


  • Proven bookkeeping experience

  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles

  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software

  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office

  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

  • Manage supply of office supplies

  • Criminal Record  Check
